SKOS Annual Meeting & Election – Seeking board candidates + free pizza!

Our Annual Meeting & Election is scheduled at Starr King Elementary School on Monday May 16th in the cafeteria @ 6:30pm. This is an opportunity to update the community on the status of the land, including a special presentation on the status of our project to remove Coral Road, and to celebrate the land we love called Starr King Open Space.Starr King Open Space

Do you go to Starr King Open Space to watch the sunset? Do you walk your dog atop our hilltop open space? Do you enjoy this little urban oasis and want to see it protected from development? As a Potrero Hill resident, you are an owner and steward of this land. It isn’t managed by the SF Rec. & Park Department, it is up to us to take care of the land and protect it for future generations.

If you are a Potrero Hill resident and would like to help preserve our neighborhood grassland, please consider running for our board. We have three (3) open seats on the board this year. You can apply online. All residents (renters and homeowners) 18 and older are eligible to run for the Board, as well as vote for candidates at the Annual Meeting and Election. Proof of residency must be provided to be a candidate. If you have any questions about what this commitment means, feel free to email us at starrkingboard@gmail.com.

Doors will open a half-hour early for an informal meet and greet with candidates. Please enter via Wisconsin Gate. Pizza has been graciously donated by our friends at Goat Hill Pizza.

We hope to see you there!
