We are thrilled to announce we submitted our application for the Community Challenge Grant offered by the City and County of San Francisco. Thanks to Starr King Elementary, The Potrero Boosters, Literacy for Environmental Justice, our neighbors and our Board ofCoral Road At Sunset Directors for making this possible. We will find out in December if we will be awarded the grant to remove the concrete Coral Road loop. We are excited to remove the concrete and replace it with a walking path and more native flora plants. We will let you know as soon as we hear!

In the meantime, we are still facing a roughly $6,000 bill from SF DPW to repair the sidewalks adjacent to the open space. And while we would like to continue to invest in meaningful projects to restore and improve the land, such as removal of invasive species and removal of concrete on Coral Road, it will be difficult for us to pay these bills without help from our neighbors and our community.

So how can you help out? Reach out to us at [email protected]. If you can donate money to help out with our sidewalk repair bills, please send via check or PayPal here: https://starrkingopenspace.org/?page_id=24

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
