Hoping to see a California spring super bloom? The opportunity might be closer than you think.
After a rainy winter, we’re extra excited to host our Mimosa Wildflower Walk. Join us this Sunday March 10th at 11am to check out what’s blooming here on Potrero Hill & to learn more about our native plants from local experts.
Wildflower walks happen annually to showcase the great California native plant diversity that we have on the Open Space. Over the course of the spring, more than 20 wildflowers can be found blooming in the Open Space if you know where to look.
Meet at the swing across from Starr King Elementary. Walks are free, relatively informal, good for families, fun for photographers, and last about an hour. We will provide free mimosas to enjoy while we walk. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
This is the first of two scheduled walks. A second will be held on Sunday April 14th at 11am.
Invite friends via our Facebook event. We hope to see you there!
Starr King Open Space is a volunteer run non-profit. Your donations help make events like our Wildflower Walks possible.
