We are pleased to announce that our local Potrero campus of the California College of the Arts (CCA) is using a course to broaden the Potrero Hill community’s engagement with Cca LogoStarr King Open Space.

From Chris Treggiari (CCA):

The class making the Invisible Visible is interested in utilizing art, design, and community engagement techniques, as a means to explore the vitality and importance of Starr King Open Space within the local Potrero community. Through field trips, various discussions with members of the SKOS board, and local outreach to residents who use the space, the class strives to create creative place making solutions that can be utilized to create unique experiences and diverse community connections within and around the space. Over the course of the semester the students will work collaboratively in groups to flesh out and activate these projects that will culminate in a Starr King Open Space community day in the beginning of May.

We are grateful to CCA for this opportunity and are looking forward to seeing what the class comes up with for a community day in May!
