The Starr King Open Space (SKOS) is looking for new board members.
Starr King is a 3.5 acre open space in San Francisco’s Potrero Hill neighborhood. The land is a vital piece of the serpentine habitat that runs the length of the county from the Presidio to Hunter’s Point. The SKOS Board manages, protects, and preserves the Open Space as wild land for current and future generations to enjoy.
The election is on May 15, 2023 at St Teresa of Avila Catholic Church (1490 19th St) at 6:30pm. Pizza & refreshments will be served.
If you’re interested in running for a seat on the Board, fill out a brief application (link below) and come to the event prepared to speak briefly about yourself and why you want to join the Board.
Being a board member means attending monthly meetings, monthly volunteer work days and participating in the stewardship of the space, fundraising and connecting with neighbors and community orgs to advance the interests of the Starr King Open Space.
