It’s a beautiful natural resource full of native grasses and wildflowers.
It’s a nice place to walk your pups and stretch your legs.
It’s a fun place to play hide and seek or swing on the rope swing.
It’s a quiet place to unwind, mediate and drink in the views of the city, especially as the sun sets behind Sutro Tower.
And if you are a Potrero Hill resident…..it belongs to you. We are all owners and stewards of this land. It’s not managed by the City. We decide how to take care of it and protect it from development so future generations can enjoy a small slice of natural San Francisco.
Please come help participate in the governance of this land by showing up at our Annual General Meeting and Elections. Our current board members will provide an update on what we are doing to protect and maintain the Open Space and our fundraising efforts. We have three (3) board members who are running for re-election this year. If you would like to be considered as a candidate you can apply online. All residents (renters and homeowners) 18 and older are eligible to run for our all-volunteer Board. The meeting is May 20th @ 6:30pm at Starr King Elementary School’s Auditorium (enter on the Wisconsin Street side). Proof of residency must be provided to be a candidate. If you have any questions about what this commitment means, feel free to email us at [email protected].
