Dear Neighbors,
The Starr King Open Space Board of Directors is reaching out to ask for your help to protect and support our treasured, neighborhood Open Space by making a tax deductible donation.
The Open Space is a 501(c) 3 organization and survives solely on donations and grants. With these funds, the Board is able to keep the Open Space safe, clean and beautiful for everyone to enjoy.
With your support, here are some of the great things we’ve been able to accomplish in 2013:
- On National Day of Service we planted over 1000 purple needlegrass seedlings (our California state grass), which are currently blooming
- We had over 25 people helping out to volunteer on National Day of Service, our largest number of volunteers ever!
- Starr King Open Space was recognized in Bay Nature magazine
- We hosted our 1st Annual Mimosas and Wildflower Walk fundraiser
